I ordered and received a Costa Rica DID yesterday, however after an hour of trying to test it I finally stumbled across this:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephone_numbers_in_Costa_Rica
It seems that the DID I was assigned, 506-4000-xxxx is not reachable from outside the country - you must be actually in Costa Rica to dial it. This makes setup and testing not possible for me.
DIDs from Costa Rica requires enduser's registration, this is, users need to send to us some documentation which we must send to the local carrier for approval. This is a requirement asked by local carrier not directly by us. Your DID will not be working until the local carrier approves your documents. See more info here:
phone2call.com/index.php/component/content/article?id=1611
If there is a restriction for caller ID for any DID, you could try fake caller ID.
Is it possible to get this number changed?
Once the DID number is assigned to an order, it's not possible to change this number. To get a new number, you need to create a new order.
Also.. why do none of your other support options work (phone/tickets)?
Ticketing system is working fine. Locate the Virtual DID Menu and click on the menu Tickets.
Phone support is currently offline because we have the purpose of increasing the use of ticketing system, forum, wiki, which are excellent tools.
